Man, I asked him to steer for one freaking second while I checked my hair in the rear view mirror. Stupid monkey. Seriously, it was a ridiculous accident; L. and I were on the bike for maybe one minute. It was like the scene in Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure. But instead of driving through a billboard, I wiped out going down a steep hill that was suddenly covered in thick sand and pitted like the surface of the moon. (Two other people skidded out on this hill on the same day.)
